When Ryan Sobh joined Trusted Tech Team in 2021, the company was already on a steep growth trajectory. What started as a licensing-focused business quickly evolved into a cloud solution powerhouse, now managing over 5,000 Microsoft 365 customers.

In an industry crowded with remote teams and impersonal transactions, Trusted Tech Team stands out for something refreshingly simple: real relationships. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the revered value-added reseller (VAR) built their success on an in-office, people-first culture that fuels collaboration, accountability, and care. 

“We’re in the office five days a week,” says Sobh, now an executive with Trusted Tech Team. “We’re tight-knit, and we extend that same energy to our customers.”

That culture became Trusted Tech Team’s advantage, helping them scale faster and serve clients better than other well-known giants in their field. But with rapid growth came new complexities. Their expanding client base demanded stronger, more flexible cybersecurity solutions to protect what they’d worked so hard to build.

To keep delivering that level of care—and keep pace with emerging threats—Trusted Tech Team needed a partner who shared their values, their energy, and their commitment to people over products.

Challenge | Growing fast while threats grow faster  

By late 2024, Trusted Tech Team had outgrown their role as a Microsoft reseller. They now had thousands of clients relying on them for Microsoft 365 licensing, migrations, and support, so it became clear there was also a need for reliable cybersecurity solutions.

“When I first came on, we were only selling Microsoft 365, nothing else,” explains Sobh. “But I knew there was so much more we could offer.”

As Trusted Tech Team expanded into security and professional services, three challenges emerged:

  1. Growing threats and limited defenses: Trusted Tech Team’s existing stack could handle the basics, but identity-driven attacks and advanced intrusions were slipping past traditional protections.

  2. Competitive market pressure: With well-known resellers competing for the same customers, Trusted Tech Team needed to differentiate on service and security. Price alone wasn’t enough anymore.

  3. Finding the right partner: Trusted Tech Team’s brand is built on personal relationships. They needed a cybersecurity partner that valued the same things, namely someone trustworthy, easy to reach, and just as invested in the relationship as the results.

“It’s the people who sell our products that make us special,” says Sobh. “You’re not going to get the same service elsewhere that you get here, where you can jump on a call with someone and talk candidly.”

Solution | A partner with shared values

Trusted Tech Team’s emphasis on putting people first naturally led them to Huntress.

The partnership kicked off in 2025, and it immediately felt like the perfect cultural fit. Sobh compares the experience to something more familiar, saying, “It’s like finding a good mechanic. When you find one you trust, that’s your person forever. That’s what it feels like working with Huntress.”

From a product perspective, Trusted Tech Team quickly found success with Huntress Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Managed Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR). These solutions now give Trusted Tech Team a level of visibility and control they hadn’t had before.

“Huntress has built super premium products,” says Sobh. “And they’re not priced so egregiously that they’re out of reach. That’s super cool.”

But for Sobh, this wasn’t just a vendor relationship. It was a partnership grounded in trust, accessibility, and shared values. He proudly notes his Huntress rep has his phone number, and he and his rep simply call each other like old friends. “Huntress is invested in this relationship, and that’s very important to us,” he adds.

And that culture alignment extends all the way to the top. “When Kyle [Hanslovan, Huntress founder and CEO] hosted an outing in Long Beach, he took the time to sit and have real conversations,” says Sobh. “Seeing how he treated people—not just partners, but everyone—it was great to know that the person running the company shares our values."

“At the end of the day, it’s about people. Huntress gets that. That’s why this partnership works. It’s culture first, always.”

Results | Real deals, real growth, and real trust

In just six months, Trusted Tech Team’s partnership with Huntress has led to measurable wins, including:

  • Two closed deals with large, reputable clients, both of whom deployed Huntress Managed EDR and Managed ITDR.

  • Faster threat detection and response: The Huntress Security Operations Center (SOC)—a 24/7, AI-supported team of elite threat analysts—has repeatedly helped Trusted Tech Team stop potential ransomware and data breach incidents.

  • Growing pipeline of security-focused clients, including sizable deals with respected organizations inspired by Huntress solutions.

  • Expanded reach: Trusted Tech Team now delivers Huntress solutions to clients across the US, Canada, and the UK.

Beyond the metrics, Sobh says the biggest win has been trust, both with clients and with Huntress. “You can probably find similar technology from other vendors,” he says. “But you’re not going to get the same service or the same people you’d find at Huntress. That’s what makes it work.”

In 2025, Trusted Tech Team and Huntress both celebrated their tenth anniversaries. This shared milestone really highlights not only how far each company has come but also the strong connections and successful journeys they've had.
