Culture at Speed: Protecting What Makes Huntress Work

I've been fortunate to work for some truly great leaders at some amazing companies. The common thread is always the same: when culture is protected, the business can operate at speed.

In my first few months at Huntress, I've had a front-row seat to the Huntress Way, and my overwhelming takeaway is simple: this is something special.

I haven't seen anything quite like it before. There's a real energy here, a sense that we're building something meaningful together, and I truly believe this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, and for many others here.

I've joined team meetings, watched how decisions are getting made, and learned what's truly important to teammates across the globe. Even in this short time, I've already seen our culture put to the test, and I've seen strong, values-first leadership from the top cascade through the company in a way that protects what makes Huntress different.

Those moments rarely show up as big, dramatic decisions. More often, they live in the smaller, everyday choices: who we hire, how we communicate hard news, and when we slow down to do the right thing instead of the easy thing.

That's where culture is really shaped. Quietly, consistently, and with intention. And that's what makes Huntress so exciting to be part of.

We just crossed $250M in revenue and have grown to more than 800 teammates. With every new hire, every new team, every new layer of leadership, the culture gets tested in different ways. The question isn't whether our culture will change (it will). The question is whether we elevate it on purpose, and with intention.

Huntress has always believed people should be able to show up as who they are. Psychological safety isn't a perk, it's the foundation. Diversity of thought, background, and experience isn't a checkbox, it's an advantage. I believe in all of that, and I'd add something that has shaped how I do this work: culture isn't the swag, the ping pong tables, or the snacks in the breakroom. It's the genuine kindness that we have for each other, knowing we are all on the same team. It's the support and encouragement we show teammates, even when they're not in the room. It's the candid communication that allows us to move fast. And in the end, it's something we build together, every day.

Group photo from the last day of Huntress Summer Summit 2026. Nearly 800 teammates showed up as they are, like they do every single day.

I also heard something loud and clear in my first 90 days:

People want to build their careers here, not just pass through.

One of the most powerful things a company can offer is the sense that you don't have to leave to level up. That your growth doesn't require a goodbye. That's the future I'm here to help build.

I'm not here to rewrite what Huntress has created. I'm here to help carry it forward with intention, curiosity, hard work, and a lot of respect for the people who built this place. That means listening before acting, being deliberate about how we welcome and develop teammates, and making sure the culture we're so proud of today is something people still feel two…five…10 years from now.

The culture will evolve. That's healthy. What matters is that we not only evolve, but we elevate it together.
