Scott Riley is a technology strategist, operator and founder with more than 25 years in the tech industry. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles at major UK IT service providers, helping thousands of organizations modernize their technology and move away from insecure, outdated IT environments. In one of his most senior MSP leadership roles, Scott built and led a cloud services division from the ground up, turning it into a majority revenue stream within a few years. After a successful private equity-backed exit, he went on to found a Microsoft 365 and Azure consultancy in the UK, rapidly scaling the business into a top-tier Microsoft partner during the pandemic as it helped companies adapt to remote and hybrid work.
More recently, Scott spotted a gap in the market and launched a SaaS cybersecurity business focused on helping Managed Service Providers simplify complex Microsoft 365 administration. The company scaled quickly and was acquired by Huntress in October 2025. Scott now brings that same founder-led perspective to Huntress, where he is part of the mission to protect the 99%.
Scott's favorite cybersecurity tip is: “never blindly trust emails or text messages that appear to come from a bank or a parcel service you know, especially ones containing login links. They're probably legitimate, but he always assumes they're not — instead, he heads directly to the app or website he normally uses and logs in there. He never clicks the links in the messages.”
