Matt Poto's path into cybersecurity started at DefCon. One look at the community, the culture, and the career possibilities, and he was hooked. He brings a background you don't see every day: before trading badges for byte-sized threats, Matt served as a Police Officer, then cut his teeth in IT at an MSP before landing at Huntress.
He's backed that hands-on experience with a CompTIA Security+ certification and Hack The Box's CJCA, and he's still leveling up. That's what he loves most about Huntress: the team, the culture, and our mission built around people who never stop sharpening their skills. His favorite piece of cybersecurity advice for staying secure? "Apply your patches!!"
When he's off the clock, Matt's either deep in a video game, planning his next adventure, or hanging out with his two rabbits, who are (his words) insanely cute.
