About
Andrea Hatcher is a Staff Threat Intelligence Analyst at Huntress, specializing in identity threats. Her path into cybersecurity wasn't exactly planned. She started out studying mechanical engineering at Penn State before a CYBER100 class (and later, the APT1 report) turned her into a self-described "cyber detective" for good. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations, with a concentration in Geopolitics, from Penn State.
Before joining Huntress, Andrea spent three years on the same team through three different companies; FireEye, Mandiant, and Google — followed by a role as a Threat Intelligence Engineer at Cloudflare. What she loves most about Huntress is the people: brilliant, driven, and united behind "Wrecking Hackers."
Outside of work, Andrea is chasing down her final two continents (Australia and Antarctica), playing and reffing volleyball, scuba diving, and battling it out in Magic: The Gathering. Her favorite cybersecurity advice is to stay curious and always be willing to learn, and never let ego slow your growth.
