Olly's path into cybersecurity started in the Royal Air Force, where he served as an IT specialist before moving into defensive cyber operations. From there, he spent years across Central Government, Defence, and National Security in the UK before bringing that experience to Huntress, where he focuses on Security Operations and Threat Intelligence. He holds an MSc in Computer Science and Cyber Security, a BSc in Cyber Forensics, and multiple SANS certifications covering incident response, network monitoring, and adversary emulation.
Olly's go-to cybersecurity advice is simple: centralise your logs, and do it before you need them. When he's not monitoring threats, he's a part time farmer tending to sheep, ducks, and chickens on his small farm. He's also the only person on the team who can say North Korea stole his crypto and Russia used him in a propaganda video.
