Nate O’Brien

Nate O’Brien brings over a decade of cybersecurity expertise to the Huntress team, with a passion for making advanced security solutions accessible to all. His journey into cybersecurity began with a curious mind and knack for problem-solving—whether it was cracking the password to a 26kbps dial-up modem for late-night gaming or exploring the inner workings of computer software and hardware.

At Huntress, Nate focuses on providing organizations with our Managed SIEM product, empowering those traditionally excluded from SIEM capabilities due to cost and complexity.  With a master’s degree in information technology, specializing in cybersecurity and programming, he has cultivated his skills through roles at LogRhythm and Tanium, where he developed detection rules, managed threat response solutions, and led product innovation.

Outside of work, Nate enjoys gaming, reading, and tinkering with electronics and woodworking. His favorite cybersecurity tip? “If you never read your email or text messages, you can’t get phished!”
