Michael supports the EDR and Detection teams and is mainly focused on scaling and improving the performance of the Huntress platform.
Michael J Coyne is a member of Software Architecture at Huntress. Overall, Michael is a "full product" software engineer with a wide breadth of experience on everything from backend APIs, frontend and UI/UX, to system architecture, DB design and optimizations, data pipelines and ETL/ELT, infrastructure, security engineering, and much more. Michael primarily has experience with Enterprise SaaS startups and software engineering consulting.
Michael has long had a deep passion for computer security and cryptography, and he originally started his career in cybersecurity as a Vulnerability Analyst for a threat intelligence company. He was one of the first members of his alma mater’s Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition team in 2008.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys cooking, hiking, and photography.
