Ben Folland is a passionate Security Operations Analyst at Huntress, where he thrives on dismantling threats and protecting partners from attacks. His journey into cybersecurity began early—at 15, competing in CTF competitions—sparking a lifelong fascination with the field.
Today, Ben specializes in frontline threat detection and response, leveraging his knowledge to stay one step ahead of hackers. Before joining Huntress, Ben defended the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure clients at a leading consultancy. He is also a seasoned speaker, notably presenting at DEFCON33 on “Man-in-the-Malware: Intercepting Adversarial Comms.”
When he’s not thwarting ransomware attacks, Ben enjoys rock climbing, scuba diving, and giving back to the security community! His favorite cybersecurity tip? “Use MFA on everything, especially your corporate VPN!”
