Huntress Heads Into Q2 Serving More SMBs and 2 Million Endpoints

Today I’m excited to announce that Huntress is now securing more than two million endpoints.

When we started Huntress back in 2015, we were confident in our mission and ability to provide cybersecurity to the small and medium-sized businesses that make up 99% of all businesses in America. I’ve been proud of the work we’ve done ever since our founding day nearly 8 years ago and especially proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past 3 years.

It’s no surprise that when the pandemic hit in March of 2020, some panic set in. No one knew what the future would look like, but we knew hackers saw this as an opportunity and we knew it was time to get to work. We kept our heads down and experienced the most growth Huntress had ever seen. Our growth reflects the positive impact we’ve had for SMBs. We’ve doubled revenue growth annually, hired more than 200 new employees, acquired EDR technology from Level Effect and security awareness training platform Curricula on our journey to two million endpoints.

Like those we aim to serve, Huntress is a (growing) medium-sized business. That’s why this milestone is so important to us. Those two million endpoints represent almost 100,000 organizations that may not have had access to cybersecurity beforehand – small businesses whose security postures were shaken to their core when COVID hit, managed service providers that work to provide their customers with the best service possible, and so many more. We’re honored to be a trusted partner to so many of these organizations … and our mission is nowhere near finished.

We recently released a report on the State of Cybersecurity for Small and Mid-Sized Businesses, and what we found not only solidifies our goal of protecting SMBs, but motivates us as well. When you see that 61% of SMBs don’t have dedicated cybersecurity experts and nearly half don’t even have an incident response plan, it drives our team to do the best that we can to educate, prevent, and protect.

There’s still work to be done; however, I am thrilled by how the community has come together around us to support this goal.

I’m able to write this post because of the immense support from the MSP and cybersecurity communities. Our partners and their customers have remained as dedicated to supporting us as we are to supporting them - we’re in this together.

Internally, I also have to shout out to the entire Huntress team, from our board and investors to our engineers, ThreatOps experts, administrators, partner success and sales enablement teams, marketing and creative teams, and everyone in every corner that makes Huntress possible. We’ve built a dynamic, results-driven culture driven by our passion to protect the customers we serve.  They say a culture is the sum of its parts, and at Huntress our parts kick ass and take names.

We are on an amazing trajectory together that started in 2015, and growing to serve two million endpoints is an exciting milestone for us. We knew from the beginning that we were creating something special with Huntress, and seeing big numbers that reflect our success is just the cherry on top of the work we get to do for the community. We’re excited about how far we’ve come, what lies ahead, and we’ll keep sharing that progress with you. Onward and upward!
